Community Spotlight: Convoyin’ at the Crossroads

EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WCIA) — The Central Illinois Truck Convoy will host its annual Convoyin’ for Wishes this weekend in Effingham County in support of Make a Wish Illinois.

Event organizers Tyler Bennett and Dustin Smith came on The Morning Show to preview the event and talk about why it’s so important to them to raise money for Make a Wish. This year’s event aims to go bigger than in years past, they said.

This year’s schedule will take place over two days instead of one. Friday will feature a concert at the Effingham County Fairgrounds, with a lineup of four musical artists, while a truck convoy will ride through the county on Saturday.
