    Effingham County Animal Shelter announces Code Red

    EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WCIA) — The Effingham County Animal Shelter is desperately looking for adopters.

    Officials said there are zero kennels open, and they have lowered the adoption fees to $75.

    Macon Co. Sergeant paying for adoptions from animal shelter this week

    “We must have adopters to stay a no kill facility” officials wrote on Facebook.

    The adoption application can be found on the shelter’s Facebook page.
