    Teenager shot in Champaign early Saturday morning

    CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Police are investigating a Champaign shooting after a teenager was shot early Saturday morning.

    Officials said a 17-year-old boy was walking along Market Street north of Bradley Avenue when he heard several shots just after 5 a.m. Saturday morning. He was taken to the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

    Police said information on this case is limited because of a lack of witnesses. No arrests have been made.

    Champaign Police ask for anyone with additional information on the shooting to call 217-351-4545.
