Underwood calls 2024-25 non-conference schedule best in his Illini tenure

(WCIA) — Following the release of Illinois’s 2024-25 non-conference schedule, head coach Brad Underwood shared his excitement for the slate.

“I think we’ve outdone ourselves in terms of what we put together with the non-conference schedule,” said Underwood. “I think this is by far and away our best schedule. I’m excited about the opponents. I’m excited about the games. I’m excited about the venues.”

The season begins with a three-game homestand, including a game against NCAA Tournament darling, the Oakland Golden Grizzlies.

Illinois will play Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri and Duke at neutral sites and host Tennessee at the State Farm Center.

Dates are still TBA for Big Ten games, but it was previously announced that Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, UCLA, USC and Wisconsin would pay visits to the state farm center.
