One dead after IL 121 crash north of Sullivan

MOULTRIE COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — At least one person is dead following a head-on crash in Moultrie County Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened on Illinois Route 121 just north of Sullivan. Officials with the Illinois State Police said the crash involved a commercial motor vehicle. At least one fatality has been reported, they said.

Route 121 will be shut down for an extended period of time, officials added. The crash investigation is only just beginning and there is no further information available at this time.
