    Man dead after ATV crash in Decatur

    DECATUR Ill. (WCIA) — A Decatur man is dead after hitting an object while driving his ATV.

    Macon County Coroner Michael Day said in a release Friday morning that 45-year-old Aron Arthur Bradshaw was pronounced dead at a Decatur hospital at 3:25 p.m. Thursday.

    Five injured in multi-vehicle I-70 crash

    Around 2:47 p.m. Bradshaw was riding an ATV near the intersection of Legion Drive and Taylorville Road. He crossed the roadway and hit an object, suffering a “massive” closed head injury, according to the coroner.

    Bradshaw was pronounced dead shortly after being taken from the scene in an ambulance.

    The Decatur Police Department is doing an investigation at the scene of the crash. The coroner took samples for routine toxicology testing.
