    Truck driver dead after overnight Livingston Co. crash

    LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — One person is dead following an overnight crash in Livingston County involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck.

    Officials with the Illinois State Police said the crash happened just after 3 a.m. on U.S. Route 24 at County Road 3350 East. The investigation revealed that the pickup truck driving northbound on the county road failed to stop at the intersection and was hit by a semi-truck driving east on Route 24. The semi-truck subsequently went off the road, overturned and caught fire.

    Man dead after ATV crash in Decatur

    The driver of the semi-truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to a regional hospital with injuries.

    Officials said the intersection of Route 24 and County Road 3350 East is closed for the investigation at this time.
