Illini football announces sellout for KU game

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) – Illinois football will play in front of a sold out crowd on Saturday, Sept 7.

Illini football’s week two game against No. 19 Kansas is sold out, the team announced on social media on Tuesday. It marks the first sellout in Memorial Stadium since 2016.

The Illini look to avenge a 34-24 loss from 2023.

Both teams are 1-0. Illinois beat EIU 45-0 and KU rolled past Lindenwood 48-3 in week one. The Illini and Jayhawks kick off at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
