Dump truck fire shuts down Piatt Co. I-72 ramp

PIATT COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A Piatt County on-ramp leading to Interstate 72 is currently shut down due to a vehicle fire, Illinois State Police told WCIA.

Officials said the fire happened at Illinois Route 10 and Interstate 72. A dump truck caught fire while driving on the westbound on-ramp and the fire has resulted in the ramp’s closure to traffic.

No injuries are being reported.
