Assistant Manager at The Ribeye in Champaign Chris McAfee said he has seen homecoming weekend come and go for more than 30 years. The restaurant is a popular spot for homecoming visitors and usually sees an extra 100 people come into the restaurant, many of which are returning customers.

“Homecoming is an exciting time for us here,” McAfee said. “We’ve been in business at this location since 1984. A lot of the returning alumni are familiar with us from their time in the area, and we’re looking forward to seeing some old friends and helping them celebrate a late night victory on Saturday.”
