Champaign, Urbana announce fall leaf collection dates

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — As the seasons begin to change and the leaves start to fall, there comes additional yard work, and time spent cleaning up leaves.

The City of Champaign announced Friday that yard waste dates have been scheduled. Yard waste will be picked up based on zones once again this year.

Orange Zone waste pickup begins on Oct. 14 and Blue Zone pickup will begin on Oct. 21. People can learn what zone they are in, as well as additional collection dates, by clicking here . The yard waste collection program will run through early December.

The City of Urbana announced their fall leaf collection dates earlier this week. Beginning Nov. 4, bagged leaves will be picked up on your U-Cycle collection day. The City asks residents to leave their leaf collection on their curb by 5 a.m. on the day of collection. The Urbana program will run through early December.
