Savoy Fire Department responds to structure fire next door

SAVOY, Ill. (WCIA) — Savoy Firefighters responded to a small grease fire Friday.

According to John Brown, President of the Board of Trustees in Savoy, the crew arrived on the scene of 104 W. Tomaras Ave. and were able to quickly extinguish the fire. The fire was reported around 4:50 p.m. and crews reported that it was put out around 4:57 p.m. He says the damage from the fire was limited.

Brown also said there were no reported injuries at Pan & Cake Catering Co. from either responders or from those inside the building.
