CHAMPAIGN (WCIA) — The Illini took care of business against Central Michigan with a 30-9 win on homecoming.

Illinois held a 13-6 lead at the half, thanks to Ethan Moczulski’s 59-yard field goal, setting a new record the longest field goal in program history.

The Illini outscored the Chippewas 17-3 in the second half, with Pat Bryant making seven catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns. QB Luke Altmyer went 19-for-29, with both of his passing TDs going to Bryant.

The Illini prepare for their first road test of the season at Nebraska on a short week, playing in Lincoln on Friday, September 20.
