On Dec. 30, 2020, the Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group agents were given a search warrant for Sanchez’s residence. Inside, they found a safe with more than 800 grams of cannabis, U.S. money, firearms, firearm ammunition, an empty gun case, a bulletproof vest and drug paraphernalia. There was also a receipt for the safe, showing it was purchased by Sanchez.
