    Get into the Halloween spirit with ‘Boo at the Zoo’ in Decatur

    DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — Registration is now open for Scovill Zoo’s annual “Boo at the Zoo.” During the event, families can come collect treats, enjoy the festive decorations, take a spin on the carousel and a trip on the train.

    Boo at the Zoo happens yearly after the season has finished. The first day of Boo at the Zoo will be the third week of October. From Oct. 17-18, 24-25 and 29-30 the event will run from 5:30-8 p.m. On the weekends, Boo on the Zoo has extended hours.

    ‘Take a Child Outside Week’ event brings bubbly fun to Urbana community

    On Saturday’s (Oct. 19 & 26) the event will run from 1-8 p.m. On Sunday’s (Oct. 20 & 27) the event will run from 1-7 p.m.

    A Sensory Friendly hour will happen Oct. 19 and 26 from 1-2 p.m. During that time, the carousel and train will be quieter.

    Admission is $6.50 if you want to collect treats and $5.50 if you will not be collecting treats.
