DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Danville Area Community College had a new person sitting in the president’s chair for the first time in eight years at Thursday night’s board meeting.

Interim President Carl Bridges is taking over for now.

The Board of Trustees met for the first time without president Dr. Stephen Nacco.
They recommended a job termination for him, and he was put on administrative leave earlier this month.

The investigation started last month after a complaint to the board from Danville’s mayor, Rickey Williams Jr. The mayor claimed Nacco used abusive language over text and in-person.

Nacco’s status was not on the agenda, and the board did not discuss the issue on Thursday night.

Bridges will take over the role until a final decision is made.

I don't think it's fair to the president to be on leave , in return the mayor should be on leave at same time . this should of too went to the town board even though it's a serpent board . the mayor is not seeing a perfect simple for people outside . Then in return mayor wants to act like he didn't do anything wrong . he's crazy . suck it up like real men .
