One dead after Coles County crash

COLES COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — One person is dead after a crash in Coles County.

The crash happened on Westfield Road near 2400 East Road on Friday around 1:45 p.m. Illinois State Police said one driver was pronounced dead on scene from a two car-crash.

The Coles County Sheriff’s Office said Westfield Road is closed from 2400 East Road to Route 49. Officials ask drivers to avoid the area.
