Three hospitalized following collision on I-70 near Effingham

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — A three-vehicle collision sent three drivers to the hospital on Wednesday.

According to Illinois State Police, officers responded to 1-70 east of Effingham, near Cumberland County around 5 p.m. The crash involved three semi trucks near milepost 100.

All three of the drivers were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries.

In a press release, Illinois State Police said they had no further information to share at this time.
