    Danville Police make arrest in Dairy Queen robbery investigation

    DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The Danville Police Department announced an arrest Thursday morning in connection to a recent robbery at one of the town’s Dairy Queen locations.

    Officials said Jose Quintana, 25 of Cicero, was identified as the person who displayed a gun and took money from the Vermilion Street Dairy Queen on Sept. 21 . On Wednesday, members of the Danville Police Community Housing Unit took him into custody.

    Quintana faces Vermilion County charges of armed robbery and resisting a peace officer, officials said. In addition, he had a warrant out for his arrest in Cook County.

    Danville Police are still accepting tips from the public about the robbery. If anyone has information they’d like to share, they can contact Danville Police at 217-431-2250.
