Part of I-55 closed in Logan County Thursday morning

LINCOLN, Ill. (WCIA) – A stretch of I-55 in Logan County is closed due to a crash, according to the Lincoln Rural Fire Protection District.

They report that units are currently responding to a semi rollover near mile marker 124 in the southbound lanes. That is south of the IL 10/IL 121/Woodlawn Road exit on the west side of Lincoln.

Illinois State Police tell us no injuries are reported on scene. The crash happened at approximately 5:05 a.m. this morning.

Lanes on I-55 may be blocked for several hours as the crash is cleaned up.

Southbound I-55 traffic is being diverted onto Woodlawn Road and can re-enter I-55 at the south business I-55 exit on the southwest side of town.
