CHARLESTON, Ill. (WCIA) — One woman is spending 30 days in jail for violating the conditions of her pretrial release in Coles County.

Charleston Police said in a news release Wednesday that they found an occupied vehicle on Oct. 4 at 4:40 a.m. in Kiwanis Park. In the vehicle was 23-year-old Kaylin Conner and a person she is not supposed to have contact with, per pretrial release conditions of a past arrest.

DNA evidence links man to 2017 Paxton sexual assault

While the police investigated, Conner lied about her identity to avoid being arrested.

She has been charged with violating her conditions of her pretrial release (a misdemeanor) and obstructing justice (a Class 4 felony).

As a result, Conner has been ordered by a judge to serve 30 days at the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.
