    Springfield convicted felon facing firearms charges

    SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — A Springfield resident was arrested on Friday, Oct. 11 after police found an illegal gun in his possession.

    The Springfield Police Department Street Crimes Unit searched 25-year-old Marjuan T. Burrage’s home and found a silver Taurus 9mm firearm.

    Ford Co. teen charged with attempted murder

    The search took place on South Street near 17th Street, utilizing the SPD Emergency Response Team.

    Burrage was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm. He did not have a FOID card.

    He is currently in custody at the Sangamon County Jail.
