(WCIA) — Illinois’s defense went from allowing just three points in the first half against Purdue to 40 in the second, and defensive coordinator Aaron Henry is taking accountability.

“The second half, it was just, kind of went downhill, man,” said Henry. “And, you know, I take full ownership in that, you know, I could have put the guys in a much better position to be successful, especially with the way the game was heading. You know, there were some calls that obviously I wish I had back, but that is that is solely on me as a play caller.”

Henry and his team’s next opportunity comes on Saturday against the Michigan Wolverines at 2:30 p.m. on WCIA.
