TUSCOLA, Ill. (WCIA) — Sarah Sumption and Hanna Foreman joined WCIA’s Taylor Mitchell to talk about an upcoming fundraiser for a rare disease.

The “Run for Nash” will take place in Tuscola on Oct. 26. The proceeds will go towards research for Vanishing White Matter Disease.

Community Spotlight: Breast Cancer Dollars and Coins

The idea for the run started after Hanna’s son, Nash, was diagnosed with the disease two years ago. There are only 300 people diagnosed with Vanishing White Matter in the entire world.

Last year, they raised over $10,000. This year, they’re hoping to raise $15,000.
