    Two ‘seriously injured’ in Springfield shooting; Crime Stoppers seeking info

    SANGAMON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Sangamon County Crime Stoppers is hoping the public will assist them in solving a shooting that occurred on Oct. 8.

    The shooting happened on the 1100 block of West Jefferson around 9 p.m.

    Charleston man accused of stabbing several people

    Springfield Police Department responded that night after reports of shots fired. They found that two people had been shot and seriously injured.

    The Springfield Police Department said that anyone with information on this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on their website or use the P3 app.

    If a tip leads to an arrest, you could receive up to $2,500. Crime Stoppers reminds tipsters that they’ll never ask for your name, only your information.
