UPDATE: One I-70 lane reopens following fatal two-vehicle crash

CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Illinois State Police are investigating a crash on I-70 that resulted in a death.

At approximately 4:43 p.m., ISP Troop 9 responded to Interstate 70 eastbound at milepost 141 between Martinsville and Marshall for the report of a two-vehicle crash involving a truck-tractor and semi-trailer.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene.

The eastbound lanes of I-70 were initially closed, with traffic diverted to Martinsville for the crash to be further investigated. At approximately 6:18 p.m., one lane of traffic opened up for traffic to move through.
