Waverly Police Department requested ISP’s help on Feb. 21, 2024 to investigate a death that occurred Feb. 18 on West State Street near South Brooks Street. After investigating, ISP discovered someone had interfered with the victim’s medical device, leading to their death. ISP identified the victim as 39-year-old Randy Lettimore.

On Oct. 15, ISP presented their case to the Morgan County State’s Attorney’s Office, and Lettimore was charged with the Class 2 Felony. She was then taken into custody.

Lettimore is being held in Sangamon County Jail but will be transferred to Morgan County to have her first court appearance.
