Crime Stoppers seeking tips on Assumption burglary

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — The Taylorville Police Department and Crime Stoppers is asking the public to help them solve a burglary that took place in in Assumption last week.

According to Crime Stoppers, an unknown person or people entered Koehl Brothers between the evening of Oct. 13 and the early morning of Oct. 14. Koehl Brothers is located at 302 South Business 51.

Crime Stoppers also said a door was damaged during the break-in, but nothing appears to have been taken. The total cost of the theft is currently unknown.

Tips that lead to an arrest can pay up to $1,000 and tipsters will always remain anonymous.
