(WCIA) — Illinois volleyball is on a five-game win streak, beating Maryland in straight sets for a second-straight sweep.

Former Illini setter and two-time Olympic medalist Jordyn Poulter returned home for the game as the team hung her 2024 silver medal banner in the rafters at Huff Hall. During her senior season with the Illini, Poulter was Big Ten Co-Setter of the Year and All-Big Ten First-Team.

Illinois took the first set 28-26, then dominated the second 25-17. The third set went down to the wire, with Illinois winning 25-23.

The Illini improve to 13-5 and 5-3 in conference play.
