    Pickup truck rolls over, catches fire on IL Route 49 near Fithian

    FITHIAN, Ill. (WCIA) — Illinois State Police and authorities from Oakwood responded to a rollover crash on Illinois Route 49 near Fithian Monday morning.

    The crash happened around 9 a.m. at the intersection with County Road 1750N. ISP Master Sergeant Calvin Dye said a pickup truck hauling farm equipment rolled over at the intersection and caught fire.

    Firefighters and farmers put out Vermilion Co. field fire

    Dye added that the driver was able to get themselves out of their truck and was taken to an area hospital with injuries. There is no word on the driver’s condition.
