WATCH: Montrose firefighters extinguish two acres of field fire

MONTROSE, Ill. (WCIA) — Montrose firefighters worked late into Thursday night to put out a field on fire.

Around 11:25 p.m., crews from the Montrose Fire Protection District were dispatched to 500E and 200N after receiving reports of a field fire. When they arrived on the scene, they found roughly two acres in flames.

The crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, with all units back in service just 30 minutes later.
