CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) is hosting a contest for artists to have their work displayed on the inside of local buses.

Four winners will be featured on the interior overhead panels of every MTD bus for three months each. A new design will take over each quarter in March, June, September, and December.

The contest welcomes Champaign County-based artists of every level and style. The artwork must be family-friendly. Officials say details of existing artwork are permitted.

The “MTD Art” program is made possible by Champaign-Urbana MTD, 40 North, and Dixon Graphics.
