    USDA launches 'Sun Bucks' program to provide extra food assistance for those in need during the summer months

    Great that they are having these programs. A concern is that their existence is skewing the actual data of total subsidies given, which are to cover down on all the food costs. Not just seasonal events like summer lunch or breakfast programs. Those are already factored into the aid received. If it is certainly not enough I think we need that data point to show actual costs. In this inflationary period the funding should be adjusted.

    these programs help family's of all walks of life. a family can work and still need assistance doesn't mean that they can always get it. programs like this is to help the children. a lot of counties run a summer food program where families with children ages 1 to 18 can go to different locations and get free lunches .
