Man dies a month after June shooting in Uptown
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte shooting that wounded four people early in June 2024 has turned deadly after one victim died of his injuries a month later. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said Tuesday 30-year-old Aundrey Brown Jr. died of his injuries on July 8. His next of kin have been notified. CMPD is now treating the investigation as a homicide.

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A Lincoln County man made a disturbing discovery when he came home on Monday, deputies said. Lincoln County deputies were called to a home on North Ingleside Farm Road in Iron Station when a man said he found a stranger standing in his kitchen wearing the homeowner's clothes and shoes. The homeowner said he immediately called 911 and the suspect, 46-year-old Tanou Chittamath of Gastonia, was arrested.
NC man charged in crash that killed Lawndale Man, troopers say
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A man is facing multiple charges in connection with a deadly crash in Lincoln County on Monday, state troopers said. North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a crash at the intersection of North Carolina 10 and North Carolina 18 around 7:15 a.m. on July 15. Troopers say the driver of a 2019 Dodge Ram ran a stop sign on North Carolina 10 and was hit by a 1997 Dodge van coming from the other direction. The crash caused the van to flip over onto its side.
