    Officials investigating 2 bodies found in Ohio River within 24 hours

    Officials are investigating after two bodies were found in the Ohio River in 24 hours, Boone County Water Rescue said in a press release.

    Boone County Water Rescue said they first responded to a report of a possible body in the river on Friday just after 8 p.m. Crews located an unidentified body in between the Purple People Bridge and the Taylor Southgate Bridge.

    The body was recovered on the Kentucky side of the river and transferred to the Campbell County Coroner's Office.

    On Saturday, Boone County Water Rescues said it was dispatched to another body in the water. Crews located the body on the Ohio side of the river near the Brent Spence Bridge. Boone County Water Rescue said the Cincinnati Fire Department received the body and transferred it to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office.

    The second person recovered also has not been identified.

    Boone County Water Rescue said both recoveries are under investigation.

    It's unclear how either person died or ended up in the Ohio River.
