Three shot in Hartford

HARTFORD, Ala (WDHN)– Authorities in Geneva County are investigating an early morning shooting in Hartford.

Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms tells WDHN three people were shot on North Third Avenue at around 1:20 a.m.

The victims are being treated at area hospitals.

Sheriff Helms says several shots were fired and the shooters have not been identified.

Several Hartford citizens took to social media early Sunday morning, saying the shots woke them up.

The shooting in under investigation by Hartford Police, Geneva County Sheriff’s Office, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and State Buruea of Investigation.
