OZARK, Ala (WDHN) — An arrest has been made in the central Alabama murder of an Ozark man earlier this month.

The victim was identified as 20-year-old Paul Devaried Terry Jr. of Ozark.

According to Birmingham Police, on Friday, October 11, officers responded to the 8200 Block of 4 th Avenue in the Eastlake Community in Birmingham on reports that a man had been shot. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the victim, Terry Jr., had run into a nearby shed next to Eastlake Park.

Terry Jr. was found collapsed in the shed and pronounced dead on the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue.

Police say after a lengthy investigation, 27-year-old Anthony Rudolfo Major of Birmingham was arrested and charged with one count of murder on October 16.

A release from the BPD claims Major shot Terry Jr. after a verbal altercation outside of a home in the 8200 Block of 4 th Avenue.
