Samson dominates 1A area tournament to move on to regionals

KINSTON, Ala. (WDHN) — After a perfect regular season area slate, the Kinston Bulldogs hosted the 1A area three tournament.

That level of success carried into the post-season with Kinston taking down Pleasant Home in the area final, sweeping three sets.

The Bulldogs won those sets by a score of 25-18, 25-17, and 25-14.

Head coach Suzanne Elmore says veteran leadership will be key for regional success.

“Well we have three seniors and the rest are coming back next year so I feel pretty confident that we will make it far in regionals next Thursday,” said Elmore.

Kinston kicks off the regional play next Thursday in Montgomery.

“I am super confident because we all just bunched together and we all bond really well and have great relationships,” said senior Makynlea Cain.
