Local graduating FFA student awarded job, vehicle

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A high-school FFA senior is graduating with a full-time job and a ‘new’ vehicle.

For the next four years, 12 graduating seniors will work full-time through Sunrise University, an education program of Sunrise’s RISE FFA Career Program. Through the program, future employees get to experience hands-on real-world job.

Alex Lamma was one of the recognized recipients at the Ohio Expo Center during the 2024 Ohio FFA Convention on Wednesday, May 8. Aside from the new job, Lamma is set to get a 2023 Jeep Gladiator as a signing bonus to the job, plus a $1,000 FFA chapter donation from Sunrise.

Each new hire received a $500 chapter donation.
