2 injured following bus crash near Eaton

PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — Crews are responding to the scene of a bus crash in Preble County.

According to the Preble County Police and Fire Dispatch Office, the crash occurred on OH-122 and Waynes Trace Road.

Our 2 NEWS crew on scene documented a YMCA bus and a van. The van appears to have sustained damage to its rear.

Preble County Deputy Sheriff Michael Spitler told our 2 NEWS crew that the crash occurred when the van failed to yield to the school bus as the former traveled northbound at Waynes Trace while the school bus traveled northbound along OH-122.

A detective on their way to the office saw the crash and reported it to the sheriff’s office.

2 juveniles on the school bus were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The other occupants were transported to the YMCA.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

The scene is clear and the intersection is open to normal traffic according to our crew on scene.
