Area man accused of raping child arrested

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man accused of raping a child is in the Butler County Jail.

According to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, Kyle Plummer, 32, of Liberty Township, is incarcerated on two counts of rape. Sheriff Jones said the sheriff’s office was contacted by the Tennessee Department of Children Services regarding a child who could have been sexually assaulted by Plummer.

When Plummer was located by authorities, he allegedly admitted to “sexually abusing a juvenile.”

“Butler County detectives located Plummer where he admitted to sexually abusing a juvenile, less than 13 years of age, on different occasions over the past several years,” the release said.
