4 detonations expected at Wright-Patterson AFB

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Commuters and residents near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base could likely hear loud noises.

The 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patt reports the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight will conduct “performing demolition training” on Aug. 14. During training, the EOD Flight will organize four detonations.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., individuals around the area of Wright-Patt have the possibility to hear loud noises from the training.

A previous social media post says the EOD Flight attempts to lessen the risk of explosive and hazardous materials.
