    DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Summer is still going strong with festivals, food and unique events. 2 NEWS compiled a list of events happening this weekend in Dayton.

    Friday, Aug. 16

    The Great Darke County Fair – Aug. 16-24, 800 Sweitzer Street, Greenville. One of the last Miami Valley county fairs begins on Friday, with rides, livestock and lots of entertainment. Learn more .

    Midwest Miniature Showcase – 4 p.m., 3055 Presidential Drive, Fairborn. Vendors and artists will share their creations throughout the weekend in Fairborn. Learn more .

    Hollywood Gaming 10th Anniversary – 7 p.m., 777 Hollywood Blvd., Dayton. Celebrate 10 years of the Dayton Raceway this weekend. Learn more .

    Saturday, Aug. 17

    Dayton Porchfest – 12:15 p.m., St. Anne’s Hill Historic District. Explore the neighborhood and enjoy free mini concerts celebrating Dayton’s music scene. Learn more .

    Great American Beer Tasting – 2 p.m., 220 N. Patterson Blvd., Dayton. Visit Day Air Ballpark to try out over 100 different beers during this annual event. Learn more .

    Dayton African American Cultural Festival returns

    Sunday, Aug. 18

    Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival – 11 a.m., 691 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn. Over 180 vendors will be set up to celebrate corn and other late summer delicacies. Learn more .

    Dayton African American Cultural Festival – Noon, 229 E. Monument Ave., Dayton. The 18th annual DAACF celebrates the rich culture of Dayton’s African American communities, with music, food and more. Learn more .
