Two sobriety checkpoints active tonight in Miami Valley

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — OVI checkpoints will be active tonight throughout the Miami Valley.

Greene County

The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) announced that a sobriety checkpoint will be in operation tonight in Greene County. The checkpoint will be on Col. Glenn Highway from 9-11 p.m.

Nearby saturation patrols will partner with OSP to operate the checkpoint.

Shelby County

OSP also announced that an OVI checkpoint will be held in Shelby County tonight. The checkpoint will be on State Route 47 near Stolle Avenue in Sidney from 7-9 p.m.

Each of these checkpoints are being held to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
