MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A proposed Wawa convenience store in southern Montgomery County is advancing to the next step.

Miami Township Community Development Director Alex Carlson confirmed to 2 NEWS that the Zoning Commission recommended to approve plans for a Wawa Food Market and Gas Station at the northeast corner of Miami Village Drive and N. Springboro Pike in Miami Twp.

If approved by the Miami Twp. Board of Trustees, the building would measure 5,919 square feet. The plan shows 41 parking spaces with four ADA compliant spots constructed.

CESO, the project’s developer, believes if the plan is approved, construction could begin later this summer and conclude by fall 2025, according to documents.

The Board of Trustees will have a final review of the plan on Sept. 3, and could conduct a vote to approve or deny the plan.
