Traffic impacts in Greene Co. this week along U.S. 35, Trebein Road

GREENE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — Motorists should be aware of several new traffic advisories in effect through August.

OHGO announced several adjustments to traffic that will take place as August winds to a close. Some already happened and are now complete, such as the single left lane closure on westbound U.S. 35 from Orchard Lane to just east of the Trebein/Valley roads intersection. That stretch of road was closed Sunday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday morning.

From Aug. 19-30, single lane closures in either direction of the U.S. 35-Valley/Trebein Interchange will occur daily from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

As a result of traffic from Trebein Road crossing over the new bridge over U.S. 35, the following impacts are ongoing.

Southbound Trebein Road motorists

Looking to head either east or west on U.S. 35? First, head south on the new Trebein Road overpass above U.S. 35, then turn right onto the new, temporary Valley Road, before finally proceeding to the light and turning either left or right depending on your destination.

Northbound Valley Road motorists

Looking to travel on U.S. 35 East or West? Turn left on the temporary Valley Road before the new bridge then at the light turn left to travel west or right to travel east.

Westbound U.S. 35 motorists

For those looking to travel north on Trebein Road, start west on U.S. 35 and get into the left turn lane at the light. From there turn on the new temporary Valley Road and then left onto the new Trebein Road bridge.

Eastbound U.S. 35 motorists

For those looking to travel north on Trebein Road from eastbound U.S. 35, go east on the route and then enter the right turn lane at the light, turn right on the new Valley Road, then left on the new Trebein Road overpass over U.S. 35.
