    Cheez-It factory site to receive Ohio Historical Marker

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The location where a crunchy, cheesy snack was created is set to receive recognition.

    An Ohio Historical Marker has been approved for the original Cheez-It factory site in Dayton’s Edgemont neighborhood.

    In 1921, the Green and Green Company Factory created the snack at its factory along Edwin C. Moses Boulevard.

    Although the site will receive the permanent marker, Ohio History Connection says it will take roughly one to two years before it is unveiled.
