BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — A training exercise mimicking a severe workplace accident was held Tuesday in Greene County.

Kettering Health’s Surgical Emergency Response Team participated in a joint exercise with the Beavercreek Township Fire Department and MedFlight. Emergency personnel participated in staged scenarios to help prepare them for what to expect if the real thing were to occur.

Ryan Kinkel, EMS coordinator at Kettering Health, told 2 NEWS the exercise was a great way for medical professionals and first responders to respond to precise situations when in the field.

Tuesday’s drill involved advanced medical care for individuals who were trapped and required either amputations or blood transfusions.
