    2 ‘significant police responses’ occur within 1-hour in Troy

    TROY, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Officers from the Troy Police Department were busy with multiple calls early Wednesday morning.

    The Troy Police Department reports at 6:24 a.m. on Aug. 21, officers were dispatched to a vacant building on W. Main Street in Troy in reference to a reported active shooter. When authorities arrived on scene, they found the call was a “swatting incident.”

    Police investigate reported robbery at Northwest Plaza

    Just 50 minutes later, officers received another call to respond to the area of Adams and W. Main streets for a man who allegedly had a rifle. According to Troy Police, they located a man with a pellet gun in his own backyard conducting target shooting,

    Although there were large presences of first responders at both scenes, Troy Police confirmed there is no active threat.
