    New hours in effect at Kings Island

    MASON, Ohio (WDTN) — Kings Island has officially made a switch to its hours of operation for the remainder of the 2024 season.

    As summer is coming to a close in just a few short weeks, the entire park is now closed daily to the public from Monday through Thursday.

    From Aug. 23 through Labor Day, Kings Island is on the following limited hours:

    Aug. 23 5 to 10 p.m. Closed
    Aug. 24 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Aug. 25 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Aug. 30 5 to 10 p.m. Closed
    Aug. 31 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Sept. 1 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Labor Day (Sept. 2) 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Kings Island Hours
    Oldest Dayton tavern hits the market

    On Sept. 20, the park will reopen to visitors with a spooky appearance. Depending on the day when parkgoers enter the venue, they will notice the return of Halloween Haunt and/or Tricks and Treats.

    Attendees heading to Kings Island during spooky season can do so at the following times:

    Dates Hours of Operation
    Fridays 6 p.m. to midnight
    Saturdays 11 a.m. to midnight*
    Sundays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    On Saturday, Sept. 21, Kings Island will operate from 7 p.m. to midnight with only Halloween Haunt.

    For the park’s WinterFest, visitors coming to the park will be greeted with sights of a winter wonderland.

    Hours of operation for WinterFest will be 5 to 10 p.m. on the following days:

    • Nov. 29 to Dec. 1
    • Dec. 6 to 8
    • Dec. 13 to 23
    • Dec. 26 to 30

    On Dec. 31, WinterFest will be operate from 5 p.m. to midnight on the morning of Jan. 1, 2025.
